Midsummer Madness Ferret Racing

Wild In The Country Ltd are looking forward to returning to Bletchley, Milton Keynes on Sunday 28th June, to take part in one of Stafford Town Council’s biggest yearly event, Midsummer Madness, which continues to attract thousands of residents every year.

We always have great fun ferret racing at this exciting event, it’s a busy day with plenty going on, and of course Wild In The Country will be there in their green and white tent, with our top performing ferrets for you to come and meet, and to have a chat in between races with our compere Malachy de Lacy.

Wild In The Country have been very busy so far this summer, racing up and down the country to various Corporate Events, giving the ferrets plenty of opportunity to broaden their fan base, and to keep their racing skills on top form.   Everyone’s favourites, so it seems, Crazyjack (son of ‘One Eyed Crazyjack’ who is sadly no longer with us,  and was featured in The Field Magazine) and Bad Boy Bubba, are particularly enjoying their summer racing so far, performing well and gaining cheers from their supporters.  Betty Boo however has been surprising the bookmakers lately sneaking past Crazyjack at the last minute and beating Bad Boy Bubba to the finishing line.  Let’s see if Betty Boo’s continues with her winning streak at Bletchley, or whether the boys will be ready to take the title back from Betty Boo.

Last year’s event was very busy, and we are certainly looking forward to seeing you there this year.  It’s a great day out for the family, and the children always seem very keen to come and see our ferrets.  We’d love to hear from you too if you have any ‘ferret’ questions you’d like to ask our compere, or come and look at our ferret information board between races.

Don’t forget to start cheering loudly for your favourite ferret when we’re racing, it certainly encourages them along!  Venue:  Leon Recreation Ground (behind Knowles Primary School), off Queensway, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 2HB.
